Facebook Messaging
We just noticed this evening that the new Facebook Messages is rolling out! Those getting access will first see this image:
Then after selecting “See What’s New” you get this introduction message:
Following the selection of “Upgrade Now” you move on to this screen:
NOTE: Your e-mail address will match your public Facebook Username. If you do not have one, you are prompted to get one (See Help Center message below: http://www.facebook.com/help/?faq=19030#!/help/?faq=19031. Then you select “Activate Email” and you are on your way!
Once you have your Username and you select “Activate Email” you are ready for the next step!
Nice. I got the nice and easy to remember, MikeG@Facebook.com! Onward by selecting “Next” >>
You have the option to turn on Text Messaging as way to receive messages via Facebook, then…
Once you Activate Text Messaging you are ready to send a message! I clicked the “+ New Message” button and I get the New Message box with a few new features including file attachment, take a picture or video, and the option to send as a text message. There is also a “Quick Send” option in the settings that allows you to hit “Enter” on your keyboard and quickly send a message out!
Once set, you are ready to go! I’m trying to send a few messages right now to test it out.
Welcome to Facebook Messages!
