Facebook Shows Post Scheduler in Timeline Pages

Have you seen the Facebook Post Scheduler for Timeline?

A Facebook Timeline Post Scheduler seems to be rolling out today, May 31, 2012.

Facebook is offering a Post Scheduling tool for Page Admins to plan posts to go live at future times.

Page Admins will go to their Timeline News Feed and when they create a new post in the Composer there is a new little clock icon in the bottom left of the post.

Upon clicking the clock icon, a Page Admin is able to set the time starting with Year, Month, Day, Hour, and then Minutes (in increments of 10).  There does not seem to be a “use current date” so it appears that users must enter this information each time.

As well, it appears users can post date information if desired.

So has this feature appeared for you?

Anyone figure out if you can go back and change the date on a scheduled post?  We do not see this functionality yet.  UPDATE!  It is there in the Admin Panel under Activity Log in the ‘Manage’ drop down.  See below.

Let us know what you think!

UPDATE:
What we are seeing is that posts scheduled via the Timeline Composer on your Facebook Page have the “Promote” option but posts via 3rd party apps using the Facebook API ONLY have “Promote” if they are a Status update or posted to a Facebook Photo Album (links do not).

UPDATE 2:
If you schedule a Page post and it has not yet posted, you can go and edit the time the post is set to go live.  Go to your Page Admin Panel and then under ‘Manage’, select  “Activity Log” from the drop down.  Credit to @Nielsverwaal.

UPDATE 3:

Now, since we first reported on the Facebook Post Scheduler, they have added a confirmation box with easy access to edit the post in the Activity Log.

UPDATE 4:

We tried posting to two hours ago, four hours, 7 hours, etc. and we got a message telling us to use the ‘Post Now’ option.  However, if we changed the date from May 31 (today) to May 30, we could then post.  It posted to our timeline and the timestamp on the Timeline Page is indeed yesterday!
