Facebook Adds Ability to Custom Name Your Tab

When the new Facebook Page Design rolled out, one of the issues was that any Custom Named Tab reverted to the original name it had been given.  We developed a workaround but it involved around 6 steps.

We are happy to report that as of today Facebook has made this much easier.  Now you can custom name your Fan Page Tabs within your Fan Page Admin area!

To do this click “Edit Page” on your Fan Page admin and go to Apps.  See images below:

We changed our Tab from “TabSite Info” to “TabSite Information” by going to Apps, then finding our App called “TabSite – TabSite Info” and selecting ‘Edit Settings’.

Then you’ll see the current Tab name.  Simply change and save.

This allows you to customize and bring more clarity to your tab so that users understand the content of each tab and allows for customization into other languages.

Below is our end result after changing “TabSite Info” to “TabSite Information.”

So go ahead and bring more customization and brand clarity to your tab names!
