Add Instagram Feed to Brand Facebook Page with TabSite

 

Instagram App for Facebook Pages

TabSite makes it easy to leverage the power of Instagram on your Facebook Page by creating a tab to display a brand’s Instagram account photos or photos from a specific #hashtag.

With user account photos, you can display your brand images from Instagram on a tab, and with hashtags you can empower fans to load their own images with the hashtag you identify and thereby pull in user generated Instagram photos.

Page Admins have access to hide images from display on the tab to better control what items are displayed. With social sharing tools built in, including the ability to “Pin” images to Pinterest, the TabSite Instagram tab gives brands a way to easily showcase mobile photos on a PC and enable fans to share mobile photos connected to your brand all while sending traffic back to your Facebook Page!

SETUP PROCESS:

1. Select Engagement Apps after clicking the “Add New Tab” button

2. From the purple icon offerings of different Engagement Apps, select the Instagram icon

3. This loads the Instagram Tab Setup.  Complete the steps listed, including connecting to Instagram.

4. After you have connected to Instagram, your user account will display.  To set a #hashtag of photos to display click the “Choose Tag or User” button.

Complete the Social Sharing to pre-set what messages are shared by users and use Advanced Configuration to customize default language and text.   Learn more about Promotional Tools.

Static HTML Facebook Page Tab by TabSite

TECHNICAL UPDATE:

(Non-Techy Summary:  Facebook to remove all FBML Apps from Pages on December 5, 2012.  This only applies to tabs using FBML.  This DOES NOT impact any TabSite users.  This is simply an update for those not using TabSite to be aware they may want to move to TabSite since we are complaint with current Facebook iframe tab functionality and we offer a Static HTML Faceook Page Tab with our Gold and Platinum Plans).

facebook-fbml.gifIn July of this year, Facebook removed FBML functions so that any FBML code that was being used in the Static FBML Page app would have stopped working at that time. However, the Static FBML Page app is still able to render plain HTML. On December 5th, 2012, Facebook will remove the Static FBML Page app and any Static FBML tabs that were installed on a brand Facebook Page will disappear.

This is just another reminder that Facebook is ending the final remnant of FBML and that all tabs for Facebook Pages going forward are using the iframe functionality.

TabSite is totally compliant with Facebook current and upcoming changes and all TabSite users can rest assured that their tabs will continue to work and remain.

Social Reviews – Allow your Fans to Speak

TabSite is pleased to announce the launch of a new Engagement App, Social Reviews.

Create a tab on your business Facebook Page for fans to review your business, products and more.  Create engagement centered on a focal topic.

The Social Review tab from TabSite offers many uses such as: 

  • Reviews
  • Testimonials
  • Feedback
  • Opinions
  • An additional line of customer service
  • and more!

Available at the Tabsite Gold and Platinum Plan levels, the Social Review app allows Page Admins to setup a Page where fans can give input.  Page Admins can select to have one comment stream, or to add multiple areas, each with it’s own unique stream of comments.

Some brands have used the Social Review tab on their Facebook Page to get input on possible new logos, new products, or input on specific store location customer service.

The Platinum Plan offers the additional capability for Page Admins to set review to “Must Be Pre-Approved” which means that no comment is live until the Page Admin reviews it and makes it live.

Page Admins have full control to hide or delete comments that do not meet approved standards outlined.

KEY FEATURE:  Have one comment stream on the tab or have a unique comment stream per image.  This allows you to have one unified comment thread or individual threads per image (different products/services/ideas).

Why Social Reviews?  Because Facebook’s Comments Social Plug-in uses an algorithm to only display relevant comments to each user.  So not all comments are displayed and different viewers might see different comments if using simply the Facebook Comments tool.  Not so with Social Reviews!  Social Reviews will show ALL viewers ALL the comments and also gives the user the ability to post the comment to their profile News Feed.

Admins control how users can give feedback, via their Facebook profile, e-mail submission, or both.

Look for the Social Review app in the Engagement App suite within TabSite.
